Experience
Math is a passion of mine. I've taught it in the school system for over two decades and been a tutor for ten years. Although I am currently a teacher who helps students learn high school Geometry, I love tutoring because of all the different students it brings me. This allows me to see learning through someone else's eyes and helps me improve and work with my students to help them gain success in their studies. It is my hope that all my students gain confidence in math, no matter how old they are. I have an undergraduate degree from Chicago State University. My masters is from Illinois Institute of Technology, in Mathematical Teaching. I'm available to work with students in all different types of subjects related to math such as Algebra 1-3/4, Elementary Math, Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, College Algebra, Geometry, Middle School Math, and test prep in ACT for Math. I believe teaching this subject is my strong suit, and I want my students to walk away from our sessions knowing they can achieve anything they set their minds to. Outside of working I make time to relax, and love to tinker in my garden or read a good book.
